The comfort of discomfort

Sometimes we wish our dreams didn't come true. Imagine working hard to reach a goal only to find it doesn't meet your expectations. Phrases like "grass is greener on the other side" and "never meet your heroes" exist for a reason.

Does that mean we should never meet our heroes?
Let's say you've been there. It's hard to remember those days, but I'm telling you it was worth it.
I know, I sound crazy.

However painful it may be, this experience can make your life brighter and better. You'll become a stronger person, learn to identify people better, and handle situations more effectively. Most importantly, you won't repeat the same mistakes with others.

Did you succeed because of your effort or the desire to reach your goal? Did this contribute to your progress and help you learn? Or do you still dwell on that negative experience?

You know who's to blame for your failure: you. That's a bold statement, isn't it?
I firmly believe you're responsible for both your successes and failures. Hiding behind excuses might provide temporary comfort, but deep down, you'll know you could have gotten up, dusted yourself off, and tried again. It's up to you to make it or break it. Everything is in your hands. Try your best, trust your abilities, and I assure you'll succeed or gain the strength to be better.

Don't let anyone control you. Your mind is a sacred place, and you shouldn't let unwanted thoughts linger. People can harm you if you let them.
The strongest tree, though it withstands rain and wind, can be weakened by tiny mites.

Your environment matters a lot. You are where you are. Our minds and bodies adapt to our surroundings. In a stressful environment where everyone looks down on you and doubts you, you'll likely doubt yourself and forget your strengths. I once found myself in such a situation and needed guidance from my mentor to remind myself of my worth.

Remember, in today's transparent world, respect isn't earned based on age, social class, or other factors.
As you grow in age, position, and social class, you have a responsibility to uplift your surroundings and inspire others. Don't fake inspiration; your surroundings can see through that. Nobody likes a fake influencer. Act in accordance with your public image.

All of this might seem silly, but it needs to be said. Not everyone earns respect; some of us have been forced to respect individuals, and it's never been a pleasant experience.

Get up, be a better self, and earn respect by taking ownership of your actions
