Solo trip is not for the weak hearts, I thought of this line while looking at the majestic and overly powerful lush nature, which was trapping everyone and turned them all into saints for that moment.
I went on such solo trips, knew the destinations, and had no vivid places to visit. I traveled nomadic style and covered all modes of transport air, road, rail, and by walk. Visited, cities, mountains, and plains.experienced scorching heat, freezing cold, pouring rains, and foggy moments.
Indeed 360°...
You become your own master, financial advisor, guide, police, and whatnot. There are no limits to these kinds of trips, one step and you're in the wrong place, physically, mentally, and, emotionally. which is eerily scary but also comforting, you can control your emotions, not at first but eventually, you can.
To sit with your emotions, for hours, what a joy it brings, people cry when they do this every time, at least I have happy tears.
It was an overall 4 day of trip, covering Bombay, Igatpuri, and Shirdi
Bombay,
landed in the evening, the city was glowing to celebrate me, just kidding, to celebrate the 76th independence. Kids all around the corners preparing for their shows and young men with their bands, proudly looking forward to the day.
This was my first time in Bombay, I had heard few things about the city of dreams, so I was eager to experience it on my own.
The sea, fishes, and of course the polluted waters brought a unique odor in the air. The city to me looked like it is drinking coffee, i.e., relaxing in its own style. The city has its own ways of protecting its legacy amidst modernization, every road, complex, building, and even the environment had some rusty taste by the looks of it and was vibing hot.
Now I won't be listing all the touristy places and how it felt, more than monuments, and historical archives, I loved looking at present life, the discipline in the soldiers, the care in the policeman, the eyes of kids which were filled with the holiday spirit, the adults who had this urge of reaching somewhere, and the elders who are laid back with lots of experience in the face and the expression that says "it will be alright, kiddo". The city never sleeps, yet it felt so calm to me, maybe it reflected my mood, but it was all energetic in an untiring way.
Mumbai, or my fav Bombay, has everything safely packed in it, I tried to cover everything, I visited all the holy places, churches, temples, and mosques(from outside ), at all kinds of hotels, cafes, petty shops, pubs, the modernity, chic, poverty, the city gives the people this "always hungry for something" emotions. It is definitely a city of dreams, so much that it consumes you, I have seen "I'm lost" looks in here.
But at the end of this trip, I know what I want and what can be done for that...!! Thank you, Bombay.
I say again solo trips are not for everyone, you must absolutely love your life and the people around you, and then if you are confused then pack your bags and go on one trip.
Igatpuri,
Although I couldn't spend more time, this hill station in the western ghats was so much to die for! the train journey and the bus journey were a treat to the eyes, you will throw your gadgets and live to the fullest. The rains and air were so pure, time stands still here, and people here are so warm, it was the highlight, photos don't do any justice to this mindblowing place, monsoon and ghats are the trickiest combination, to get high without using drugs, visit this place. you will forget the emotions such as hatred, jealousy, sadness, anger, and all the negative ones. forgiveness is in the air.
Shirdi,
There are no words to express this humongous journey and experience, I would just say that I'm humbled 100 times more than before, and I carry more peace, love, kindness, and compassion at heart. Indeed, you don’t get to do what you want, it seems there is something already planned for you and you’re carrying that out. I experienced it, beautifully, wholeheartedly!!!
At the end of any trip, you’re exhausted but energized with an extreme love towards yourself and your beloved ones.. you know how to forgive and forget.. and also how to move forward..
