Be a Man!
What's equality in society mean?? To have what boys/men have??
Well here is what they have,
They don't cry, no, they must not cry, they are born strong, and they are taught to be.
They can't say no to things.
They can't be vulnerable, they should not show it, how can they?
They don't get tired, they are growing to be a Superman!
They should go out and earn and they should support others in any, at any cost
They can't rest, no they can't take a day off
They don't have mental illnesses, heck no, they don't have physical illnesses either.
They cannot write big emotional messages to their loved ones, it shows feminism and that is shunned by society.
They cannot say they are also abused, society won't believe it, so forget about listening.
They can't be moping about emotions, they are not allowed to be emotionally hurt, it's not manly!!
They can't ask for help, it's a taboo.
They can't choose to stay at home or take a break without people scoffing at them and labeling them useless.
They have to do well, yes they should do well, whether they can or not.
They are told that they will be the sole provider of the home, call it whatever you want, I say it as a pressure.
The list just goes on....
It's okay if a little girl grows up and chooses her passion and does not work. but our little boys are always told to grow up to be 'men',
Hmm, To be a Man!! Sounds cool isn't it,
We hear it when, to get the daring work done, to silence them, to make them quiet.....
What is it anyway?
To be a man is to be however he chooses to be, be it when he is a small little boy unaware of things or the beautiful Man, who is aware of the consequences of decisions.
It's okay to be private, and shy, it's okay to be emotional, cry heaven, and finally, it is okay to be whatever the Damnest thing they want to be.
Let us tell them every day, every minute of our lives that they are wonderful the way they are, and it is completely okay for us to show them their emotions, vulnerability, and so on in their sweet own way.
And finally, To all the beautiful boys/men, every day is a day of celebration, do not celebrate the manliness or whatever the hoax we are around, there is no definition of how you should live, and there is no title required to define you, be you and celebrate the true 'you'.
