One day...

Image
One fine day, a long, painful problem got resolved, and then I decided to thank the lords for helping me solve them. I looked up the auspicious temples listed online, according to history and mythological stories. It did take an effort, travel, money, and time. But hey, it is where God resides, isn't it? So I made all the arrangements accordingly and was ready. While waiting for my flight in the lounge, I read the news where a state was almost drowned due to floods, and the lives of at least hundreds were just destroyed. Families were washed away in this turmoil. I thought, what bizarre that these families must have done to anger the same Lord I was going to visit! Appalled to say the least. On my way from the airport, while in the car I noticed a bunch of homeless people in a hurry to find shelter as it started pouring out. They had about a 2x2 area which was covered by very cheap and, to my perspective, a dirty plastic cover.  I was wondering why they are on the road...

After some time

Image
After some point in time,   Your difficulties become your achievements.   Your sleepless dreams become your reality.   Bitter memories become sweet lessons.   Hate turns into great forgiveness.   After some point in time,   The one who treated you as less becomes just the one, nameless.   The one who ignored you becomes contactless.   The one who underestimated and treated you wrong somehow ends up on the other side of the world.   After some point in time…   Your prayers will be answered.   Those unanswered questions will either be answered or made to be ignored.   Your favorite cravings fade away.   Your dreams, when not reciprocated, fade away.   Your new hope becomes the present.   After some time, those who pretend to be busy become unimportant in your life.   The mask falls off.   After some point in t...

The comfort of discomfort

Sometimes we wish our dreams didn't come true. Imagine working hard to reach a goal only to find it doesn't meet your expectations. Phrases like "grass is greener on the other side" and "never meet your heroes" exist for a reason.  Does that mean we should never meet our heroes? Let's say you've been there. It's hard to remember those days, but I'm telling you it was worth it.  I know, I sound crazy. However painful it may be, this experience can make your life brighter and better. You'll become a stronger person, learn to identify people better, and handle situations more effectively. Most importantly, you won't repeat the same mistakes with others. Did you succeed because of your effort or the desire to reach your goal? Did this contribute to your progress and help you learn? Or do you still dwell on that negative experience? You know who's to blame for your failure: you . That's a bold statement, isn't it?  ...

Memories

Image
Can I get rid of the void that a memory creates?   I go around the world, making new ones… would it even mask it?   Maybe a new place, a new set of eyes to look through, or perhaps an entire life…   Would it, though? Would it erase the emotions that are inflicted whenever the memory flashes through my mind?   That one tiny speck… who would have thought…! Can I fill it in by adding one more or maybe two more?   I’ll forget it , I say… while remembering the wrinkles of the smile from that memory. Would that make me feel complete ? All those bags of what the world says as good memories and or what, at the end of the day, it would force as lessons ! Alas , I say, rubbing my eyes so hard I almost reach my mind, while trying to remember the color of the world. So, do I remember the actual version of the memory, the wrecked remains , or the easiest one? -Hope

I'm fine! I'm thrilled

Yayy, good news! Congratulations!! Maternity shoots It's a ! Baby shoots How lovely...   My grandmother used to say, " becoming a mother is the most beautiful moment a woman can experience ".  She hasn't slept properly for days, doesn't even know if it's day or night, just doing the routine job of feeding the baby, and celebrating with others . When asked about how she is, she says, " Yeah, um, I'm fine! I'm thrilled ," but she questions herself why she doesn't feel that way. She musters all the courage and with fear expresses her dark emotions, about how she's going through a weird feeling that was supposed to be cloud nine. Her family calls her a monster , telling her to get out of that space and be there for her child and to Grow up . She curses herself, filled with guilt for not being able to care for her child the way her family wants, the way society expects, and most importantly, the way she dreamed all her life . She still ...
